Few things are more important to human activity than leadership.

In HSL, we believe in leading at a higher level where leadership should be about serving rather than self-serving. We perceive leadership as for the greater good of mankind and it should not be done merely for goal accomplishment but rather, what is best for all involved. Our leaders focus on results and place great emphasis on people development, taking into account employee engagement and job satisfaction. As leadership guru, Ken Blanchard aptly puts it; leading at a higher level is the process of achieving results while acting with respect, care and fairness for the well-being of all involved.

Lim Choo Leng Managing Director Lim Choo Leng, one of the founding directors of HSL, is currently leading the company as its managing director. He has more than 43 years of experience in construction line and a strong expertise in the construction and maintenance of marine structures. A recognized name in the marine construction sector, Mr Lim was the Project Manager for construction of the marine facilities at Pulau Busing, Singapore which received the Construction Excellence Award for Excellence in Construction Management in Year 1992. In year 2004, Mr Lim was seconded to Shell Global where he oversaw the construction of chemical jetties in the Donglian Harbor Chemical Jetty Project, Daya Bay, China.		Teng Soo Hai Executive Director Teng Soo Hai, one of the founding directors, has vast experience in foundation, marine works, and mechanical piping work. A 35-year veteran of the construction industry, Mr Teng is responsible for ensuring that HSL provides services that constantly exceed clients’ expectations. He accredits his success to unwavering values which include hard work, integrity, commitment and passion.

Wong Chin Sing Executive Director Wong Chin Sing, one of the founding directors, is a project director with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, both locally and internationally. A civil engineer by trade, Mr Wong also holds a law degree, which allows him to blend his law knowledge and practical onsite expertise together in a strategic approach, especially in the area of managing mega projects and contract law.		Charles Quek Executive Director Charles Quek, executive director, is in charge of overseeing business development for the company. A good business strategist, Charles is responsible for maintaining solid client relationships, building strong internal capabilities and pursuing new business opportunities. In addition to his foresightedness, his connection, both laterally and vertically, in the market is his asset. Charles is currently the Secretary for the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI).
