Maintenance of marine facilities is a key factor to ensure that ports and terminals continue to operate under heavy water traffic, loading and unloading activities.

More than often, client will award directly to HSL on minor maintenance works to ensure that equipment and facilities are made good on time for the smooth running of the port or oil terminal. For larger projects, tender will be opened and HSL will bid for the project at a competitive rate.

The initial discussion with the client usually begins with identifying the specific work required to be completed. For instance, maintenance for fender may involve the replacing of the entire fender with body or just the fender face pad. We would propose various methods and also make recommendation for any changes to the client intents based on our site assessments.

The work for replacement of fender may be done on land with the help of vertical scaffoldings and mobile crane. For areas where land space is a limitation, we may need to mobilize crane barge for the installation works. For larger items such as a loading arm or gangway, we may require the use of barge to transfer equipment to land side for overhauling works.

The work has always being smoothly completed ahead of time and with no accidents. Clients complemented on the quality, safety and timely work done. Innovative methods and strong team work had been displayed during the works. This is the reason for our continuous renewal of the contract with the client on the various maintenance contracts. Currently, we are working out with the client on a series of long term maintenance contract which should allow us to adopt a build, manage and maintain scheme.
